Welcome
To
Albanian Students International
Dear
Friend,
Its a great pleasure and honor for me to welcome you
to Albanian Students International-a network of the Albanian students and
youth worldwide. For many years, I have had a dream that is coming true today. I
have always wanted to find a way for Albanian youth around the world to interact
with each other. Now, with the immense help of the Albanian American Civic
League, led by former Congressman Joe DioGuardi and Balkan Affairs Adviser
Shirley Cloyes DioGuardi, students in the diaspora and in the Balkans have
established Albanian Students International and this website. Our main objective
is to provide young Albanians all over the world with an opportunity to work
together, because when we work together, we are wiser, we are better, and we are
stronger.
All of us belong to the same nation, a
nation fragmented by several state boundaries. Working together, all of us can
make a difference in our own lives, in the lives of our friends and families,
and in the lives of our countrymen and countrywomen. Working together for what
we believe infreedom, democracy, and human rightswe can help bring
peace and stability to Albanians, to the Balkans, and to Europe in our time.
I hope that you will join Albanian
Students International. Please e-mail your name and address to us at asi@albanianstudentsinternational.org
and feel free to send us your ideas and opinions.
Sincerely yours,
Faton Bislimi
AACL Student and Youth Coordinator
